Whilst light still comes in, the heat has been reduced dramatically so no longer feels like a sauna. We are west open facing meaning sun moves around the side of the windows then above normally trapping so much heat. In 24hrs the difference is amazing! Thanks Paul!

Paul installed window film on our bi-fold doors in our garden room, and kitchen and lounge windows. Having had skin cancer recently, I was concerned about UV and wanted to continue to enjoy our garden room without having anxiety. Alternative to Net Curtains FAQs
The thing you love about your net curtains and probably the reason why you had them installed in the first place, is the privacy they provide from nosey neighbours and passers-by. They prevent these people from seeing what’s going on in your home. Will window film do the same? You bet. In fact, it’ll do an even better job. You see, net curtains don’t completely prevent passers-by from seeing inside, they just reduce visibility significantly. But window film will block their visibility completely, not allowing them to see anything you’re doing inside. And you will still retain a perfect view of what’s going on outside.
No. A lot of people think that having a layer of film installed on their windows is going to cause problems when the sun is shining directly on them. “Won’t there be a glare or reflection that makes it hard to see?” they ask. All of our window films help to reduce glare rather than increase it, so you’re actually likely to see an improvement in this area rather than a deterioration.
Having window film installed at your home or business premises does not take long. It depends on the number and size of the windows that you want the film to be installed on, but most typical installations are completed within a day. So there’s no big impact on your day-to-day life or business operations.
There is, but it’s easier to take care of than net curtains. Net curtains have to be washed periodically and are much easier to stain. All window film requires is a periodic wipe down with a soapy water solution and a soft cloth. You won’t need to do this in the period immediately after installation, as it should be left alone for the first two months, as during this time the film “settles” and this ensures the best performance possible. After that, you can start to clean it when you see that it’s necessary. Doing so will ensure dust doesn’t interfere with performance.
