Preparation is vital. For a successful installation, it is essential that preparation work is undertaken to conservatory glazing. Without this preparatory work the window film installation would not be acceptable to our customer nor would it meet the high standards that PR Solar set themselves for any work undertaken.

Installation - what we do.

Step 1. The correct window film will be chosen to meet customer requirements and budget. There are many different types of window film and coatings available - for extra heat reduction, anti-glare, prevention of UV light damage to furniture. We are also able to supply extra hard wearing window film for conservatory doors or windows where they may be subjected to scratching from household pets. For this, we use a special window film called CoolKote which is easily applied to polycarbonate roofs and provides up to 90% heat reduction. CoolKote is especially recommended where pets spend a lot of their time in a conservatory as it reduces the high risk of heat exhaustion during the hot summer months. Window film also increases your privacy because of its mirrored appearance when viewed from outside.

Step 2. All glazing is carefully cleaned and scraped to remove all dust and dirt particles in order to avoid blistering or flaws to the surface of the window film.

Step 3. All windows are individually measured. Technician uses a machine to cut the window film sections to size and shape - be they rectangular, triangular or diamond shape.

Step 4. Technician applies window film to the correct section of the windows or roof using a liberal coating of a special solution called Slipeze.

Step 5. Technician uses special tools to ensure that all trapped pockets of air are eliminated in order to provide a smooth flawless finish. The finished surface may be cleaned just as it was before the window film was applied.

Step 7. Technician to confirm with client that they are satisfied with the work undertaken.
